Ribadeo, Spain

The group gathered once again to travel to a sea side city named Ribadeo. There are a ton of these small cities strewn about the coastline of Spain, as you can imagine, but I never get tired of visiting them. We (I) did a little swimming (floating really) at a little cove on the outskirts of town. After, my uncle decided to take us to the most remote restaurant I have ever eaten at. We drove, and drove, up this mountain on a one way road to get to this place (one way roads leading random destinations has become a common theme of our travels). This place was located square in the middle of a farm, complete with chickens and cows roaming about.

Apparently, you call the propriator of this restaurant (really just a super cool guy on a farm that likes to cook for people) and let him know that you'll be there in, say, 20 minutes and he prepares a meal for the group. Said propriator has a "menu" that consists of one thing: Eggs and fries with jamon on top! He will also throw together some amazing desert dishes, too, after the main dish. The food tasted AMAZING. I think he had his sister, mom, and wife cooking while he partook in the drinking of some sidra (another common element during meals) with the party.

I think la merienda time is upon us over here, so it's time for a snack and then some siesta...
