League of Champions

Soooooo, my uncle ended up with VIP tickets, unexpectedly, to the Real Madrid Champions League game and hot damn did we have a blast, obviously. Reminds me of when i was boarding the plane for my 13 hour flight to madrid from SF. I was expecting an over-crowded, under-ventilated flight with crying babies to boot (not that there is anything wrong with babies that cry, just like there is nothing wrong with jack hammers, per se). That was until the flight attendant informed me that i had been magically upgraded to first class for the trip. King for a day suckas (or at least i got to drink like one)! And if you're wondering why it's so damn hot and stuffy in coach, i figured out it's because all the AC is being routed to the bourgeoisie in the front of the plane.

Back to the game. We arrived and were escorted to the VIP lounge which had unlimited food, beverages, and girls (see gratuitous Heineken photo above). In an attempt to try every item available, we almost forgot there was a game to watch, so after we had our fill, we proceeded to our seats to catch the opening ceremonies...which were glorious, obviously. Game was tied at half time, so to calm the nerves, we headed back to the lounge for some liquid courage.

Back to the game. Madrid proceeded to dominate the French team (who's name escapes me at the moment), with the game ending in a 4-0 victory for Real. Good stuff, time to celebrate. So it was back to the lounge for some post game cool down beverages.

Experience, Education, and Measurements?

Interesting. I met a girl a couple of days ago and we had been discussing the global meltdown-economic life threating-credit crucnch. She had mentioned that she was looking for a job and had just interviewed for a stewardess job with a European airline. The interview process, she said, was fairly straightforward:

1. Bilingual test
2. phsychologial examination
3. and, as she stated, the most important of all being the dress fit test. You had to fit into one of two dress sizes, small and smaller. Mind you, this was the last test of all, lol.

I wonder if the CEO is male...

Chupitos!

A night out on the town, that invariably turned into an early morning, sunrise and all. This brings to mind a certain set of lyrics:

"I don't know much/but i know this for certain
That is the sun/poking it's head 'round the curtain"

Seeing the streets flooded with people at 7am is quite a scene :) so I did it two nights in a row...
